Our Process

At Citrus Careers, every listing undergoes review before it reaches our talent pool. This is not a formality. It is the standard that makes our board worth posting on and searching.
Our Process

Thank you for your interest in listing with Citrus Careers. Finding the right person for a remote role takes more than posting and hoping. It takes the right platform, the right audience, and the right standards.

That is exactly what we have built here, and we are committed to making your hiring experience as seamless and effective as possible.

Job seekers come to Citrus Careers because they trust that what they find here is legitimate, fully remote, and exactly what it claims to be. That trust is built one listing at a time.

Here is what to expect from the moment you submit to the moment your listing goes live.

Step 1: Submit Your Listing

Begin by completing the job submission form through our Start Hiring link. Provide as much detail as possible about the role, the responsibilities, the qualifications you are looking for, and the compensation structure. The more complete your submission, the smoother and faster your review will be. Incomplete or vague listings take longer to process and are more likely to require follow-up before approval.

Step 2: We Review Your Listing

Once we receive your submission, our team reviews it within 24 to 48 hours. During this review, we verify that the position meets the Citrus Careers standard for what belongs on our board. Every listing is evaluated against the following criteria:

☑️
The position must be 100% remote with no hybrid requirements. Hybrid roles do not qualify for listing on Citrus Careers regardless of how frequently the in-office requirement occurs. If a role requires the candidate to report to a physical location regularly, we will not approve it. This includes training onsite.
☑️
The role must fall within the non-clinical healthcare space. Citrus Careers is a specialized board. We serve professionals seeking remote, non-clinical healthcare work. Listings outside of this scope will not be accepted.
☑️
The listing must be transparent and accurate. We review job descriptions for clarity, completeness, and honesty. Listings that misrepresent the role, compensation structure, or employment relationship will be flagged and will not go live on our board. This includes listings that advertise employment but deliver a contractor arrangement, listings that require upfront costs from the candidate, or listings that lack enough detail for a job seeker to make an informed decision about applying.
☑️
The company and opportunity must be verifiable. We take the legitimacy of every listing seriously. If something cannot be verified or raises concerns during our review, we will reach out before making a decision.
☑️
Jobs must be either hourly or salaried. We do not accept submissions in which the jobseeker is paid "per piece", based on production, or by commission. Roles that offer incentives in addition to an hourly wage are acceptable.
Step 3: What Happens If Your Listing Is Flagged

If your listing does not meet our standards as submitted, we will contact you. We will identify what needs to be addressed and allow you to revise and resubmit.

Common reasons listings are flagged include hybrid requirements that were not initially disclosed, job descriptions that are too vague to give candidates a clear picture of the role, compensation structures that are unclear or appear misleading, and roles that fall outside of our non-clinical healthcare focus.

A flagged listing is not a rejection. This is an opportunity to align your submission with our standards so it can move forward.

Step 4: Approval and Visibility

Once your listing is approved, it goes live on the Citrus Careers job board immediately. There is no waiting period between approval and visibility. From the moment your listing is cleared, it is in front of our talent pool, a targeted, engaged community of professionals actively seeking remote, non-clinical healthcare work.

What Makes a Strong Listing

The listings that perform best on Citrus Careers are the ones that treat job seekers as the professionals they are. A strong listing is clear about what the role requires, honest about what it offers, and detailed enough that a qualified candidate knows within minutes whether they are a fit.

Please be specific about the day-to-day responsibilities. Be transparent about compensation, whether that is a salary range, an hourly rate, or a contractor structure. Please state your requirements clearly and avoid padding the qualifications list with unnecessary credentials. And make sure the role you are describing is the role you are actually hiring for.

Candidates on our board are here because they are serious about their job search. Meet them at that level, and your listing will reflect it in the quality of applicants you receive.
